The Retail Council of Quebec (RCQ) is proud to announce the 30th edition of its flagship event, Hop! The Retail Summit. This year, the event will take place on October 30 at the Grand Quai of the Port of Montreal. To celebrate this 30th anniversary, we wish to honor all the retailers who have shaped the Quebec commercial landscape over the past decades.
The Retail Council of Quebec is an association representing the vast majority of retail and distribution companies in Quebec, making it an essential stakeholder. For all industry-related issues, the RCQ adopts a ‘solution-oriented’ approach to contribute to the reflections, strategies, and decisions of governments.
Remember those ads that left an impression on you, those stores where you loved to wander… Retail has evolved, but its roots are embedded in our collective memory. To make this anniversary edition unforgettable, we invite businesses established in Quebec for over 30 years to participate in a unique project: reliving the history of Quebec retail. We are calling on all retailers to send us their archives.
Ads of the Past: Your old print, radio, and TV ads will help us relive the campaigns that left a lasting impression.
Iconic Visuals: Your logos, period photos, and store visuals showcase the evolution of your brand and your business.
Stories and Anecdotes: Share with us the anecdotes and stories that have marked the history of your business. These testimonies are valuable for understanding the evolution of the sector.

On October 30, during the event, we will showcase on screens and through quizzes the archives you have generously shared. It will be an opportunity for all participants to relive significant moments in the history of retail and to celebrate together the 30th edition of our event.
Please note that the RCQ will select the most relevant and representative information for the event.
