Damien Silès is the new director general of the Retail Council of Quebec

Céline Blanchet, President of the Board of Directors of the Retail Council of Quebec, and its members are pleased to announce te appointment of Mr. Damien Silès as the new CEO of the RCQ, effective January 9, 2023.

With a strong background in international trade, Damien Silès has served as the General Manager of the Quartier de l’innovation de Montréal since 2014. Previously, he spent six years as the General Manager of the Société de développement social de Ville-Marie, North America’s first social brokerage, which he founded in 2008. His leadership at this organization was recognized by the media, earning him the distinction of being named Person of the Week by La Presse-Radio-Canada twice (February 2011 and June 2013). From 2002 to 2008, he also held the position of Director of Membership and Sales at the Chambre de commerce du Montréal métropolitain, where he established strong relationships within the Quebec business community.
